UFC fighter Molly McCann lead a packed-out O2 Arena to a rousing rendition of “F**k the Tories” after her win on Saturday night.

‘Meatball’ Molly tasted victory at the O2 back in March with a stunning spinning elbow knockout against Luana Carolina.

She won again in similarly impressive fashion this Saturday night, another elbow plus a flurry of punches putting pay to American Hannah Goldy.

In her post-fight interview with Michael Bisping, McCann referenced the tremendous support she had, stating: “I don’t know if I’ve ever seen this in combat sports in the UK, getting behind a female athlete.

“Have you ever seen lightening strike twice? Well now you have! I think you’ve seen after the last win I didn’t go on a three-month bender, I’m committed to the game.”

Before leaving the octagon, McCann asked the crowd: “Can I just get you to sing one thing. I’m not going to swear,” before then urging those in attendance to shout “F**k the Tories”.

Co-commentator and interviewer Michael Bisping, still the only Brit to win a UFC title added: “I’m going to say I agree with that one.”

McCann previously told JOE about the damage she believes the Conservative Party has done to her home city of Liverpool.

“The Tory government are destroying my city. I’ve got kids and families living on food banks while they’re getting f***ing bonuses.”

McCann added that she is now in a financial position where she doesn’t mind paying a little extra in taxes for the benefit of those less fortunate.

Fellow Scouser Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett picked up another win, submitting Jordan Leavitt in the second round before dedicating the win to his late friend Ricky.

Ricky took his own life earlier this week, which prompted Pimblett to remind men watching that it is ok to talk about any mental health problems they may be enduring.
