UFC 214 promo could well be the best in the promotion’s history

UFC 214 is a matter of weeks away, Jones' suspension is up and if you weren't excited about the grudge match that will close out the event, that's about to change after you watch the thrilling promotional trailer. The card is headlined by the UFC's biggest fight of 2017 so far, the highly-anticipated rematch between light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier and the man who never lost the belt inside the Octagon, Jon Jones. Aside from Jones' disqualification loss to Matt Hamill because of the archaic 12-6 elbows rule, the two pound-for-pound greats have only one loss between them. There's also the fact that the two fierce rivals harbour genuine animosity towards one another and, of course, the laundry list of controversies surrounding Jones' UFC tenure that saw him stripped of two UFC titles. The failings of Jones are impossible to ignore, and it's highly commendable that the promotion decided to address them in their new promo for the fight which is being praised for it's raw honesty.
