UEFA are reportedly leading a review into Anthony Taylor's performance during the Europa League final and allegedly agree with José Mourinho's verdict of the referee.
Taylor was heavily criticised by Mourinho after Roma's penalty shootout defeat against Sevilla last week and the former Spurs boss even waited in the car park, where he called the Englishman a 'f*****g disgrace'.
His x-rated outburst led to Taylor being mobbed at Budapest airport by Roma fans in distressing scenes as the 44-year-old tried to return home with his family.
However, according to Calciomercato and Corriere dello Sport, Mourinho and Roma aren't the only ones who were left unimpressed.
Reports have suggested that UEFA 'agree' with Mourinho's claims and that UEFA designator Roberto Rosetti will review Taylor's officiating.
Some of the issues raised included his handling of Fernando's handball to the penalty he awarded to Sevilla, which was overturned by VAR.
One referee who has come out in support of Taylor is ex-Swiss official Urs Meier, who suggested that Mourinho should be banned from football for one year as a result of his comments.
"It's just a no-go that he threw the referee at the fans," he said.
"He already did that when he was Chelsea coach with Anders Frisk [former Swedish referee who took charge of the Blues' infamous game against Barcelona in 2005], who received death threats and then ended his career as a result.
"You have to take the stage from him and consider whether he can no longer be part of international games for a year."
