Fernando Torres gives Atletico the lead against Barca, then gets sent off minutes later

Fernando Torres scoring a Champions League goal in the Nou Camp; it’s enough to bring Gary Neville to the point of orgasm.

The former Liverpool and Chelsea striker gave Atletico Madrid the lead in their quarter final first leg against Barcelona, finishing cooly when put through against Ter Stegen.

But, much like his career, Torres’ night rapidly went downhill.

Just a few minutes after giving his side the lead, Torres picked up a second yellow after nearly breaking brushing Sergio Busquets’ leg.

Hero to zero in a matter of minutes. Unsurprisingly, the Fernando Torres show generated plenty of tweets, with Twitter undecided as to whether the Spaniard deserved to be sent off.
