Transfer gossip: Wolfsburg warn City that Kevin De Bruyne is “unsellable”

We don't need to talk about Kevin...

Allofs calls off race to sign Kevin

Wolfsburg CEO Klaus Allofs has issued a ‘hands off’ warning to anyone sniffing around Kevin De Bruyne.

City were thought to be interested in the talented Belgian, but the Mail report that Allofs states he is “unsellable”.

It’s a crap warning really, because he follows it with: “In football things can develop so rapidly, that you can’t say this now…” – mixed signals much?

Lambert and bottler?

The Mirror say Rickie Lambert could be Bournemouth bound after his dream move to Anfield didn’t work out.

The Scouser has failed to impress at his boyhood club since leaving Southampton and may be tempted to leave.

Cherries boss Eddie Howe is hoping to link up the veteran striker with Callum Wilson in a formidable-ish attack.

Neville: I believe in Angel

Gary Neville has backed Angel Di Maria to bounce back after an underwhelming first season at Old Trafford.

The Manchester United player has only shown glimpses of his talent since making the switch from Real Madrid.

But Sky Sports report that Neville is adamant. “I believe in Di Maria as a player” states the well-respected pundit. So at least he exists, if nothing else.
