Di Maria and RvP to make way for Bale

The Friday morning rumour mill creaks into life with talk of Man United ditching Angel Di Maria and Robin van Persie to fund a move Gareth Bale.

According to the Daily Mirror, selling the duo would shave around £500,000 a week off the wage bill, allowing Louis van Gaal to pursue an £80m bid for Bale.

The 25-year-old is thought to be open to a transfer following a difficult season at Real Madrid and scathing criticism from the club’s supporters.

United want £40m Kane

We’re still not sure if Harry Kane is the real deal, despite his 31 goals this season.

The 21-year-old could prove to be a flash in the pan, which is why it might be a foolish idea for Man United to pay £40m for his signature this summer.

That’s the speculation in The Times, who claim that Kane is at the top of United’s short list to replace Van Persie and the Monaco-bound Radamel Falcao.

Is he really worth that sort of money after one successful season?

Liverpool and Arsenal want Ayew

According to the Daily Star, Liverpool hope to snap up Marseille forward Andre Ayew on a free transfer.

The Ghana international’s contract expires in June and it’s thought that he’s eyeing a new challenge in a bigger league.

Liverpool could face competition from Arsenal, however, who are also keeping tabs on Ayew following his nine goals in 26 Ligue 1 matches this season.
