City to offer French ace Paul the money

Any Manchester United supporters still ruing the fact that their club allowed Paul Pogba to slip through their fingers may want to look away now.

Noisy neighbours Manchester City are willing to throw a truckload of cash at the sensational French midfielder to turn him blue.

The Star claim that the Etihad club want to make the 22-year-old the highest-paid midfielder in the world with a staggering weekly wage of £250,000 – netto.

Tom to Cleverley remain a Villain

Talking of free-scoring midfielders that Manchester United will regret losing, the Express have good news for Aston Villa supporters.

They claim that Tom Cleverley is keen on staying put at the Midlands club after impressing under the guidance of Tim Sherwood.

The England international will be out of contract with United at the end of the season, and despite interest from Everton, is keen to remain a Villain.

Liverpool linked to a big-name signing

Despite almost certainly missing out on Champions League football next season, Liverpool aren’t moping about feeling sorry for themselves.

Shoot report that either Brendan Rodgers, Anfield’s shady ‘transfer committee’, or both are looking to the Bundesliga for fresh faces.

They have ‘stepped up’ their interest in Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – who is one player, not a new forward line.
