Transfer Gossip: Brendan Rodgers targets Depay, Benteke and Ings

Good Christian...

Liverpool to sign all the forwards

Brendan Rodgers has had it up to here with his team’s impotence in front of goal and is looking to inject his front end with new men.

The Telegraph report that the Anfield boss is keen on rebuilding his strike force – and with more than the littered remains of Daniel Sturridge.

Memphis Depay, Christian Benteke and Danny Ings are thought to head his list but he’ll face all sorts of stiff competition for each of ’em.

Imbula to imbue Chelsea’s midfield

Chelsea, a club so impoverished of midfielders that it breaks our hearts to see them suffer so, are finally addressing the problem.

They are looking to add to the shallow well of Fabregas, Matic, Ramires et al by swooping for Marseille’s Giannelli Imbula.

The Sun reckon it will take around £20m (or an on-loan squad player in Chelsea money) to prize the 22-year-old from Ligue 1.

Van Gaal doesn’t need a little pea

No we don’t mean that the Dutch manager refuses to go to the toilet before a long car drive and then starts fidgeting at the first lights.

It’s a reference to Javier Hernandez, silly. According to the Metro, the green-eyed goalhanger is persona non grata at Old Trafford.

This is good news for Southampton, as Ronald Koeman is all to willing to spray £7.5m on the slippery Mexican.
