Finally, the end is here
After months and months of feverish transfer speculation – almost all of it about Jadon Sancho’s nonexistent move to Manchester United – the transfer window has closed.
Deadline Day was a hectic one and keeping pace with all that was going on was virtually impossible. To help you out a little, we’ve rounded up a few of the transfers that might well have escaped your attention as the seconds ticked away towards the metaphorical slamming shut of the window.

Sandro Ramirez has left Everton. Yes, somehow, Sandro Ramirez was still an Everton player. He’s penned a three-year deal with Huesca.

19:40 – Michael Cuisance to Leeds Marseille
Michael Cuisance, as expected, has left Bayern Munich. After a move to Leeds collapsed, the French midfielder is off to Marseille, with Bayern reportedly inserting a buyback clause in the deal.

18:52 – Felipe Anderson to Porto
At this stage, this is just turning into a collection of Fabrizio Romano tweets. How is it even possible for one man to know about so many transfers at the same time? What state are his thumbs in with all this tweeting?
The latest move nearing completion is Felipe Anderson, who looks set to head to Porto after they sold his countryman Alex Telles to Manchester United. It’ll be a loan, Fabrizio says. We can almost taste that ‘Here We Go’.

17:30 – Matteo Guendouzi to Hertha Berlin on loan
Arsenal are still trying to Thomas Partey having missed out on Houssem Aouar. Meanwhile their midfield gets even thinner as Guendouzi joins Hertha Berlin on a season long loan.

15:19 – Douglas Costa to Bayern Munich
The Brazilian returns for his second spell at Bayern Munich, who one can only assume are simply collecting wingers at this point. Presumably Costa will fill the void left by Ivan Perisic, who won the Champions League while on loan at the club last season before returning to parent club Inter Milan.

14:55 – Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting to Bayern Munich
The former Stoke City man’s late career tour of Europe’s top clubs continues. Released by Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season, Choupo-Moting joins the side that beat PSG in the Champions League final.

12:39 – Amad Traore to Manchester United (in January 2021)
Not confirmed by either club but it has a ‘here we go’ from Fabrizio Romano so it’s enough for us. If you don’t know much about Amad Traore, don’t worry, because he only has three senior appearances with Atalanta to his name.
He is an exciting prospect though, and United are said to expect his development to turn out similar to that of Dejan Kulusevski, who left Atalanta for Juventus for €45m.
Amad Traoré will join Manchester United on next January, here we go! Deal agreed right not with Atalanta but the young talent [born in 2002] will arrive on 2021 because of work permit and passport timing.

11:37 – Justin Kluivert to RB Leipzig
Not so long ago you may remember there being quite a bit of hype building around Justin Kluivert, son of former Dutch international, Patrick. After a big move from Ajax to Roma a couple of years ago, things haven’t quite gone as planned for the still-only-21-year-old. He’s now inching ever closer to a loan move to RB Leipzig, which is also said to include an option to buy.

Remember Matteo Darmian at Manchester United? Remember how, for the entirety of his time at Old Trafford, he was seemingly on the brink of a move to Inter Milan which never actually materialised? Well, good news! Just when all seemed lost, Darmian has finally got his move to Inter.
After leaving United for Parma last year, he now joins Antonio Conte’s impressive collection of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer castoffs at the San Siro. The 30-year-old’s move is initially on loan but with an obligation to buy.

10:04 – Ryan Sessegnon to Hoffenheim
Just when you thought the stream of promising young Englishman heading over to the Bundesliga to gain valuable first team experience had slowed, along comes Ryan Sessegnon. One of Mauricio Pochettino’s final signings as Tottenham boss, the former Fulham full-back – still only 20 – has been loaned to Hoffenheim for the season.

10:00 – Danilo Pereira to PSG
The 29-year-old midfielder has been a regular for Porto since joining from Maritimo in 2015 and has 39 caps for Portugal. He joins PSG on loan with a €16 million obligation to buy. Like Moise Kean, it looks like the Paris club are using the end of the window to stock up on squad players.

9:28 – Davy Klaassen to Ajax
In what’s been an extremely Everton-rich start to Deadline Day, news of one of their old boys, Davy Klaassen. Things never quite worked out for the Dutchman at Goodison after his arrival from Ajax in 2017. After a season, he was shipped off to the Bundesliga, with Werder Bremen. It now seems Klaassen is on the brink of sealing a return to Ajax, with transfer guru Fabrizio Romano confirming a deal was close to completion on Sunday.

Things never really worked out for Moise Kean at Everton. 4 goals in 37 appearances for the Italian was hardly the kind of return expected after his arrival in England from Juventus a year ago. None of this has been enough, however, to deter Champions League finalists Paris Saint-Germain from taking Kean on loan for the season where he’ll compete with the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe for a start.
