No inch given.

Kolo Toure is known for his infectious enthusiasm and loveable persona, and it’s clear that he loves his brother Yaya very much indeed. But he certainly won’t allow that affection to stop him achieving his Wembley dream.

Liverpool face Man City in the Capital One Cup final on Sunday, with a chance to secure their first trophy under Jurgen Klopp. It is also an avenue into Europe, with the victors qualifying for next season’s Europa League tournament.

The Anfield club have a rich history in the competition, having won the famous three-handled cup a record eight times. Come the weekend, Kolo won’t allow brotherly love to come between him and number nine.

When asked about how he’d react to City’s Yaya Toure running in on goal, the Liverpool defender replied emphatically, “Take him out – big time.”

Speaking to BBC Sport, he elaborated, “Because I want to win, that’s it…He knows me, and he knows that if he’s going to score a goal, anything – anything – I can do to stop him, I will.”

We don’t doubt you Kolo…
