Bordeaux will want big money for him.

He has lit up Ligue 1 this season.

Tottenham Hotspur are keen to sign Bordeaux forward Malcom in the January transfer window, according to reports from Sky Sports

The Brazilian forward has impressed many of the giants of European football, with Manchester United and Bayern Munich also reportedly interested.

Malcom joined the French club from Corinthians in January 2016, and the 20-year-old is enjoying his most productive season so far. He has already scored seven league goals this season, mostly from the right wing, equalling his tally from 2016/17.

Bordeaux will want big money for the prospect, with the figure of £50m being reported as the asking price.

Spurs have been linked strongly with Wilfried Zaha over the last few transfer windows, but with Crystal Palace determined to keep their talisman, the North London club seem to be looking elsewhere for attacking options. He would face tough competition getting into the starting XI for Spurs, who would have to bench one of their regular starters.

Given how many clubs will be interested in Malcom, though, Spurs will have other options in mind. Their attack has been bolstered by the long awaited return of Erik Lamela, but it is clear that Pochettino still wants to bring in a fast winger.

Spurs have signed both Clinton N’Jie and Georges-Kevin N’Koudou since appointing Pochettino in 2014, but neither have worked out. Could Malcom break the curse of wingers from Ligue 1 flopping at Spurs? For £50m, you’d hope so.
