The two sides are set to meet on Tuesday
Tottenham expect their Carabao Cup clash with Leyton Orient to be called off, according to reports. Leyton Orient announced on Monday that a number of their players had tested positive for COVID-19.
The two sides are set to meet in the Carabao Cup at 5:30pm on Tuesday, live on Sky Sports.
But now, the game looks to be in jeopardy following Leyton Orient’s announcement. Spurs have reportedly been told by the EFL that the game will be called off.

Leyton Orient have shut their stadium and training ground until further notice, and released the following statement on Monday:
“Following our game on Saturday 19th September, Covid-19 testing was conducted on all of our first-team playing squad.
“Today (Monday 21st) we received formal confirmation which shows that a number of our first-team squad have tested positive for Covid-19.
“We have informed the EFL and Tottenham Hotspur and will make a further announcement regarding Tuesday’s match shortly.”
Orient’s upcoming League Two fixtures could also be in doubt as a result of the Coronavirus infections.
They said: “We have also informed Mansfield Town, Plymouth Argyle and Oldham Athletic, our three most recent opponents, prior to the public release of this information.
“Leyton Orient’s priority is the health and well-being of its players and staff. Those who have tested positive will now strictly follow government self-isolation guidelines.
“The Breyer Group Stadium and training ground facilities will be closed until further notice.”
The EFL said they were in discussions with Public Health England regarding the fixture.

The Carabao Cup was the last major trophy Tottenham won. They lifted it in 2008 with a 2-1 win over Avram Grant’s Chelsea side. The game was the first League Cup final at the new Wembley Stadium, and goals from Dimitar Berbatov and Jonathan Woodgate took the trophy to White Hart Lane.
Following the signings of Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon, Spurs will be hoping for a similar end to the current season.
