Forbid a man tries to better himself

Comedian Tom Davis has revealed the hilarious lengths to which he went, just to get better at FIFA.

We've all been there in the past with the weekend league, a continuous struggle to grind out results against some exceptional players.

Well Davis took matters into his own hand, even hiring a FIFA coach in order to improve his skills.

Speaking on That Peter Crouch Podcast, the standup comedian came clean:

"I have a really addictive personality. During covid, what am I doing? So I started playing FIFA. And then I got into ultimate team, in a big way. The weekend league became everything.

"I'm like, I've got to win 30 games this weekend, I want to be one of the best. So I'm becoming obsessive right, so I get a FIFA coach.

Steve Sidwell replies: "How old was he, 13?"

Davis responds: "Yeah."

"This is as vulnerable as I go, I'd had a bad weekend. Like I'd won 11 games, had my a**e torn out for the other 19. I'm gonna have to bring someone in, like a set-piece coach, I'm gonna have to change the backroom staff here.

"So I start looking at people who do the YouTube tutorials, so I reach out to one of them. I'm like look bro, you look like you know what's going on. And he goes, I do you know, some coaching. So I was like oh yeah, that sounds amazing.

"So he was like, buy a block of ten. So then I'm sitting there on a f*****g evening, and my wife's like you know have dinner, (and then) I've got to go upstairs and get some work done.

"This kid (teaching), and he's like 17, and he's from America. And he's like 'do you wanna do set pieces today or work on defensive?'

Sidwell in disbelief responds: "No way."

Davis replies: "My virginity is growing back. And this one night I'm doing these lessons and my missus is spending there, and she's like 'what are you f*****g doing?', I'm just playing FIFA. And she went, 'who are you talking to?', and I went Aaron. And she goes, 'who the hell is Aaron?'

"He's a FIFA coach. And she stared at me. And I swear on my life, I've never seen anyone that's like, the ick, she looked at me and went, 'you've got a FIFA coach? You sad c***.'

"And Aaron goes, 'who was that?', and I went, that was my wife. 'Oh, usually guys I train don't have wives.' I lent forward, turned off the f*****g PlayStation and went downstairs."
