Thomas Tuchel went all Jurgen Klopp when he thought Dortmund had scored the winner

Madness

Kevin Beirne

There must be something in the water in Dortmund.

Maybe it’s the fans, but Borussia Dortmund just have a habit of appointing some bloody passionate coaches.

The old took on the new as Thomas Tuchel brought his Dortmund side to Anfield to take on his predecessor, Jurgen Klopp.

The away side stunned the Merseysiders by taking an early two-goal lead, before Divock Origi gave the Reds a lifeline in the 48th minute.

With half an hour to go in the game, Marco Reus found the back of the net with a goal that looked like it had sealed the tie, and Tuchel’s joy was clear for all to see.

Remind you of anyone?

Of course Liverpool managed to pull off an amazing comeback to win the game 4-3 and secure a semi-final spot, so we don’t think he’ll be so happy any more.
