This stat suggests Arsenal were terribly unlucky to lose to West Bromwich Albion

Arsenal missed the chance to go top of the Premier League when West Brom came from behind to beat the 2-1 at The Hawthorns.

A Mikel Arteta own goal proved decisive as Tony Pulis notched another victory over Arsene Wenger’s men.

Arsenal fans showed their frustrations on Twitter, but in truth it felt like just one of those days.

And the visitors’ dominance was borne out by this stat, which shows how harsh the scoreline seems.

The Baggies had just four shots in total, compared to 11 for Arsenal, though eight of the visitors’ efforts – including Santi Cazorla’s penalty – missed the target.

Arsenal completely dominated possession too, with 73% of the ball, but it wasn’t to be.
