Perhaps the biggest surprise of the disclosed salaries was how little Nate Diaz earned for his main card bout against top lightweight Michael Johnson. Diaz was given just $20,000 to show up and a further $20,000 for the win, meaning that eight fighters with lower billings on the card earned more show money than him.
Diaz has complained about being underpaid by the promotion in the past, once claiming that the promotion "conned him" into signing an eight-fight contract. At least banked a cool $50,000 for winning the Fight of the Night bonus for his stunning knockout victory over Johnson.
Check out the full disclosed salaries for the card as reported by MMA Fighting below. It's important to note that these figures do not represent a fighter’s total earnings, as some sponsorship incomes, contract clauses, or discretionary post-fight bonuses are not publicly disclosed.
