The Premier League table based on Mark Lawrenson’s predictions is bizarre

Lawro backs West Brom a lot

Predictions make fools of us all.

Each week, former Liverpool defender, turned grumpy pundit Mark Lawrenson predicts the score of each Premier League fixture, usually pitting his wits against a celebrity.

A Premier League table based on Lawrenson’s predictions has been compiled, and it makes for bizarre reading alongside the actual table after 20 games.

Manchester City are top and Aston Villa are bottom, which is fair enough. But West Brom in fifth? Liverpool undefeated in third? And Leicester City, Watford and West Ham fighting relegation?

Despite their horrendous run of form, Lawrenson’s version of Chelsea have three more points (45) than actual Premier League leaders Arsenal (42).
