That's some line-up

Carl Anka

The new Formula One season is right around the corner and Channel 4 mean business.

The channel, who have picked up broadcasting duties from the BBC, have announced their presenting team for the 2016 season and it’s boasting a wealth of talent and experience.

Formula One fans can look forward to a veritable who’s who of television talent lead by Steve Jones and David Couthard.

Former drivers Mark Webber, Alain Proust and Suzie Wolff will be on hand to provide insight to life on the grid, and they’ll be joined by experts including Eddie Jordan (pulling double duty alongside Top Gear commitments), Bruno Senna, Lee McKenzie and legendary motorsport commentator Murray Walker.

Fan reaction to the team certainly seems positive, with a number of petrolheads taking to Twitter to voice their approval.

The full line up can be found here, along with details of the 10 Grands Prix Channel 4 will be broadcasting live in 2016, including the British Grand Prix in Silverstone.

All live races will be shown uninterrupted, without adverts, with the first race coming from Bahrain over the weekend April 1-3.

The new Formula One season starts March 20.
