With no world cup, no Euros and no Olympics to tide us over the summer, we'll need something to keep us going as a go to conversation topic, so what better subject that the 2017 Lions Tour?
England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland will all be banding together in June 2017 to face off against New Zealand for a best of three series.
It's the best of the Northern hemisphere trying to overcome one of the best sports teams of all time.
It'll be brutal. It'll be hectic. It'll most likely be heartbreaking.
It'll also have the Lions wearing one of the nicest rugby kits around.

This Tuesday evening saw Canterbury unveil the new red jersey the Lions will be donning for their 10 match tour.
Via hologram.
Because it's 2016 and now every sporting event wouldn't be complete with a dose of WTF showmanship.
The official line from Canterbury is that the holograms are to promote just how hard it is for a player to earn a Lions call up. With a gruelling domestic season and a fiery Six Nations tournament ahead, very often it's only those lucky enough to avoid injury the strongest that survive to make it to the Lions tour and earn that "untouchable" jersey.

As for the jersey itself, it's a lovely minimal red number with a white collar and trim. Perfect for rucking, mauling and (hopefully) scoring a few tries in.
Good luck to those who will wear the jersey in 2017. Considering the form New Zealand are in, they will probably need it...
