The Australian tennis player plumbed new depths on Wednesday night, as he tried to wind up his opponent by claiming a rival player had slept with his other half. In a remark picked up by a court-side microphone, Kyrgios made the allegation to Swiss rival Stan Wawrinka about his girlfriend [Donna Vekic] and Australian player, Thanasi Kokkinakis. "Kokkinakis banged your girlfriend," he declared, midway through the second set. "Sorry to tell you that, mate..." Tackled on the comments after his victory [Wawrinka retired with a back injury], Kyrgios explained, "He was getting a bit lippy...[it was] kind of in the heat of the moment. I don't know [why]. I just said it."
