A man of principle.
Colin Murray has resigned from his position as morning show presenter on talkSPORT, citing the recent change in ownership of the radio station and the "inevitable future working relationship between talkSPORT and The Sun."
The radio station has been bought by News Corp, the media group that owns
The Sun. The British tabloid printed erroneous reports about the Hillsborough disaster in 1989.
Northern Irishman Murray is a lifelong Liverpool fan, and sees the merger as making his position untenable.
Murray released a statement on Wednesday afternoon:

The former Match of the Day 2 presenter is the second high-profile departure from the radio station in recent days.
Stan Collymore, who has worked for talkSPORT for the past eight years, announced on Tuesday that his contract hasn't been renewed.
