It was claimed that Karius and Danny Ward would fight it out for the No 1 spot at Anfield but following a couple of howlers from the former in preseason, Klopp's hand has been forced. Liverpool are closing in on a £66 million deal for Roma 'keeper Alisson Becker, who has been one of the club's top targets all summer.
