Supporters complain about kit issue as West Brom stun Spurs

The referee wasn't happy about it

It wasn’t the easiest game to watch but West Brom have kept alive their hopes of Premier League survival, for a few hours anyway.

A dramatic late winner from West Brom midfielder Jake Livermore gave the Baggies a fighting chance against all odds.

A scrappy tap-in lifted West Brom off the foot of the table and leaves them two points away from safety, with one game left.

Survival might be out of their hands but they are in a much healthier position than supporters would have feared before caretaker manager Darren Moore took over at the Hawthorns.

Those who were watching the game struggled to enjoy it, however, because of a controversial kit clash between the teams.

West Brom were kitted out in their navy and white stripes, with white shorts, while the visitors sported their home strip which consists of a white shirt and navy shorts.

Even referee Mike Jones was put off by the similarity between the kits and seemingly asked Spurs to change to a different strip but neither of the London side’s alternative options would have been ideal either.

It made for a tough viewing experience but Baggies fans won’t be all that bothered by it, having added a much-needed three points to their tally.
