He bombarded the referee with complaints at half-time
Steven Gerrard was shown a red card by referee John Beaton during Rangers' clash with Livingston on Wednesday evening.
As the two sides made their way inside for the half-time break, the Rangers boss berated Beaton, visibly angered by some decisions the referee had made during the first 45 minutes.
The 40-year-old manager was shown a yellow card during his rant, but was undeterred by the caution and kept going until Beaton was left with no choice but to expel Gerrard for the remainder of the game.
This means the Scottish Premiership leaders could be without Gerrard in the dugout for their game against St Mirren next Saturday.

Should Celtic drop points the day afterward in their game against Dundee United, Rangers could become champions at the weekend.
We now await the decision from the Scottish FA on Gerrard's punishment.
