Spurs announce Mousa Dembele signing – and also hope to sign Moussa Dembele

Nooruddean Choudry

There’s only one Mousa Dembele…or maybe not.

On Friday morning, Spurs tied down Mousa Dembele to a fresh new deal that will commit the muscular midfielder to the North London club until 2019.

The 28-year-old first arrived at White Hart Lane back in 2012. At the time, Fulham were reluctant to let the player go, but were largely powerless due to his contract situation, which included a £15m release clause.

Hot on the heels of signing Mousa Dembele for another three years, Spurs can now focus on their next priority – signing Moussa Dembele.

That’s right – according to the Guardian, Mauricio Pochettino is close to agreeing a deal for the highly-rated 19-year-old French striker in the region of £5m.

Fulham are reluctant to let the player go, but are largely powerless due to his contract situation, which runs out at the end of the season.

So in summary, that’s two Mou(s)sa Dembele’s – both of whom could be turning out for Spurs after penning fresh deals, having previously played for Fulham.

That’s glitch in the Matrix sh*t right there.
