Spanish referee accused of asking female footballer out in the middle of a match

A Spanish football referee has been accused by a female player of having asked her out on a date in a recent game. Pavel rebuffed the approach, telling Alcon that he "better stick to blowing your whistle." Spanish outlet EFE spoke to Pavel after the game, and she explained how she had been affected by the incident. “I’ve stopped believing in football, in fair play,” she said. "I feel helpless, humiliated. In the many years I’ve been playing football I’ve never felt so ashamed."
