SHOWTIME release statement regarding Conor McGregor mic cutting accusation

When Floyd Mayweather was talking trash about Conor McGregor in Los Angeles, the Notorious' responses were barely audible.

So many people tuning into the first press conference of the world tour were looking forward to seeing (and hearing) Conor McGregor engage in a verbal battle. However, we were deprived of a proper one. When McGregor when up first and got the crowd going by scoring points on the undefeated prizefighter, Mayweather remained quiet and respectful. Then when it was Money's turn to grab the mic, McGregor started firing back with trash talk of his own. Unfortunately, a lot of what McGregor said during this portion of the presser wasn't heard because his microphone cut out. "At no point did SHOWTIME or Event Productions cut any microphones intentionally during Tuesday's kickoff event in Los Angeles." Cutting their mics would go against our goal of delivering these fighters to the masses and letting their charismatic and entertaining personalities take centre stage."
