The former Borussia Dortmund man - who reportedly earns around £250,000-a-week - has endured a difficult period both on and off the pitch in recent months having been stripped of the Arsenal captaincy for disciplinary reasons.
He was not involved in any of the Gunners' matches prior to travelling to the Africa Cup of Nations - where he was sent back to London by Gabon following scans that revealed "heart lesions" after a bout of COVID-19. The striker wasn't named in either of Gabon's squads for their group games against Comoros and Ghana.
The 32-year-old has struggled for form after signing a new contract at the start of the season, registering just four Premier League goals in 14 appearances.
However, Aubameyang still maintains a prolific record in front of goal in the English top-flight, bagging 68 goals in 130 appearances since joining the Gunners in 2018.
