The tweets caused an understandable frenzy on Twitter and were deleted not long after. But the damage was done. They'd been screenshot and were circulating around social media at high velocity.
The debate quickly moved onto what was behind the explicit tweets from the former Man City player's account.
Then in the early hours of this morning Nasri Tweeted again to say he'd been hacked. But offered no further detail on the matter.
