Salford City’s FA Cup heroics have been rewarded with another televised game

The magic of the cup...

Simon Lloyd

After seeing off Notts County in the previous round, Salford City are potentially one round away from locking horns with Premier League opponents in the FA Cup.

First of all though, they have to negotiate another tricky tie against Hartlepool United.

After Salford’s second goal prompted wild celebrations from some of the club’s famous owners, it’s now emerged that their second round tie will also be televised on the BBC.

The game will be played on Friday, December 4 with kick-off scheduled for 7.55pm.

If Salford can continue their cup run, we can only imagine the state Gary Neville will be in.
