Salford City to subsidise play-off tickets after league forces them to increase prices

Looking out for their fans

Salford City will “gift” back to fans some of the cost of admission to their upcoming Northern Premier League Premier Division play-off tie after they were forced to increase the price of tickets.

The Ammies take on Ashton United on Tuesday night at their home ground of Moor Lane, and were instructed that their standard ticket prices were too cheap for a play-off game.

But rather than simply accept the league’s demands, Salford found a way to keep everyone happy by subsidising the price of the tickets to ensure those who supported them throughout the season would not be put out of pocket, even if it was just by a pound or two.

Upon entry to the ground, supporters will be given a colour-coded ticket depending on their ticket’s category which they can then use to gain their refund inside the stadium.

While the biggest increase in ticket price is just £3, it is still nice to see a club making an effort to thank their fans.
