Ryan Giggs’ attempts to get on the managerial merry-go-round continue.
The Manchester United legend left his position as assistant manager last summer, after Louis van Gaal was dismissed as manager and replaced by Jose Mourinho.
British football’s most decorated player turned down a youth-team coaching role with United, and chose to go it alone in an attempt to become a manager, ending a 28-year stay at Old Trafford.

Giggs has been linked with several jobs since, and interviewed for the manager’s position at Swansea City before Bob Bradley was appointed, but has yet to find a role.
The 42-year-old, who has been seen on punditry duty for Sky Sports and ITV since the season began, will have to wait a bit longer to enter football management, and after pulling out of the running for the vacant role at Wigan Athletic, according to reports.

Warren Joyce, the reserve-team coach at United, is set to appointed Wigan manager in the coming days, according to The Daily Mail.
Giggs reportedly pulled-out of the running to take charge of the Championship team, who are without a manager after sacking Gary Caldwell last week and are currently second from bottom in the league with 11 points from 14 games.

Joyce is expected to hold talks with Wigan chairman David Sharpe on Friday. The 51-year-old has been coaching United’s reserves since 2009.
It seems like no-one is willing to give it Giggsy ’till the end of the season.
