In 2003, Ruud van Nistelrooy became the first man to score in ten consecutive Premier League games.

This weekend, Jamie Vardy of Leicester City has the opportunity to equal the former Manchester United striker's record. Taking to is Instagram account, the Dutchman has a message of encouragement for Vardy.

Leicester will face Newcastle United at St. James' Park - coincidentally the same venue where Van Nistelrooy set the record twelve years ago.
