Ronnie O’Sullivan takes the p*** after Ding Junhui makes a 147 break

No hard feelings from Ronnie. We think.

Ronnie O’Sullivan has had his say on Ding Junhui making a 147 break at the Welsh Open.

The Rocket sabotaged his own chance at maximum break earlier this week, deeming the £10,000 prize “too cheap.”

Barry Hearn, the chairman of World Snooker, wasn’t happy with O’Sullivan’s refusal to go for the break, but some snooker players supported the five-time world champion.

Ding probably wasn’t one of those, as the Chinese player made a 147 on Friday afternoon, during his 5-2 quarter-final loss to Neil Robinson.

When asked about Ding’s maximum by BBC Sport, O’Sullivan joked: “I just thought he’s let the lads down, hasn’t he?!”

“Ding got it and it’s fantastic. At least they’ve had a 147 this week…and a 146.”
