But she's back with what looks like serious vengeance.
Ahead of the fight with Nunes, Rousey took to her Instagram page to show off the work she has been doing to get back under the lights and perform in front of the world again.
She posted a picture from last February when she beat Cat Zingano and she compared it with how she looks now for the Nunes bout.
It's safe to say, they're pretty different.
Rousey looks leaner, tighter, and her muscle mass looks potent.
In both of these pictures, she's preparing for a bantamweight fight but it seems that it's abundantly clear that she's only tuned in 100 per cent in one of them.
She'll never take an opponent for granted now.
And, when you compare the pre-Nunes shots with the pre-Holm ones, the difference is just as noticeable.
Ronda Rousey has always been one of the most exciting fighters in MMA and her potential once knew no bounds.
Now the bear has been poked, the beast has been angered and she's ready to inflict revenge on all those who ever doubted, hurt, or just annoyed her.
