Watch Ronda Rousey’s cameo appearance at the UFC 205 weigh-ins

Just over six weeks until her return.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen Ronda Rousey in an official UFC capacity.

The former women’s bantamweight champion has stayed away from the Octagon since being KO’d by Holly Holm last November.

However, almost a year to the day from her first career defeat, ‘Rowdy’ reminded everyone that she’s still a contender with a cameo appearance in New York after the official UFC 205 weigh-ins.

Rousey was joined by Amanda Nunes, the current bantamweight boss and her next opponent, as the pair faced off ahead of their hotly-anticipated UFC 207 meeting at the end of the year.

But there was no time for interviews, at least on the American’s part, as she did her bit and then immediately marched off stage.

As Fox Sports reports, Nunes stuck around for an interview long after Rousey had vacated the other side of the podium.

“She’s the fighter I asked for,” the Brazilian said.

“I’ve trained for this girl my whole career in UFC, and now I have the chance to defend my belt against her. It’s going to be amazing.”

Nunes v Rousey headlines the UFC 207 card, due to take place in Las Vegas on December 30, while men’s bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz will defend his title there against Cody Garbrandt.

Former heavyweight boss Fabricio Werdum is also pencilled in, with the Brazilian taking on Cain Velazquez in his second fight since losing his belt to Stipe Miocic earlier in the year.
