Ronaldo goes into business with Donald Trump with £105m investment

Cristiano Ronaldo may only be 30 years of age and still breaking goalscoring records all over the shop, but he is clearly planning for life after football with some prudent financial investments. According to Marca, the Real Madrid legend has purchased a luxurious hotel in Monte Carlo for an eye-watering £105m - but it's his business parter that will have many fans wincing. The Spanish newspaper claims that none other than POTUS-hopeful and all-round bad egg Donald Trump is one of Ronaldo's co-investors in the property acquisition. It's not the first time that the unlikely pair have entered into real-estate business together, with the Portuguese previously purchasing an apartment in Trump Towers for $18.5m. Expect Lionel Messi to be cozying up with the Clintons any day now.
