Ronaldo equals Raul’s all-time goalscoring record in double time

In scoring a brace in Malmo, Ronaldo made history twice and carved his name into Real Madrid folklore.

Scoring both goals in the Champions League tie on Wednesday evening not only ensured Real’s place at the top of Group A, but it earned the imperious Portuguese two records in the process.

His first was the 500th goal of his career, including each and every strike for Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Portugal…

And his second levelled him with Raul as Real Madrid’s all-time leading goalscorer with 323 goals. The Spaniard took 741 games to manage the feat – Ronaldo did it in just 308 games…

Not bad for a young lad from Madeira.
