Romelu Lukaku has come up with an intriguing idea by suggesting that the Football Association should organise an All-Star game of Premier League players.

Lukaku was inspired by the recent NBA All-Star Game which, for the first time, saw teams formed by the sport’s two greatest players, LeBron James and Steph Curry.

In the past, the NBA All-Star Game was played out between the best players from the Western Conference and the best players from the Eastern Conference as decided by fan, player, and media voting.

Fresh from his impressive performance against former club Chelsea on Sunday, Lukaku has put forward that the top players from the North of England could take on their rivals from the South.

The topic sparked quite the debate in the Manchester United forward’s mentions as some followers were quick to point out that all proceeds should go to charity, while others slammed it as a terrible idea.

The main talking point, however, was who would make the teams and several supporters got one hell of a kick out of the possibility that Lukaku wouldn’t even make the starting XI for the North, despite having come up with the idea.
