Romelu Lukaku left out of Manchester United squad for Bournemouth match

Romelu Lukaku has been left out of the Manchester United squad for the Saturday lunchtime kick-off against Bournemouth.

The striker has struggled in front of goal in recent weeks, having last found the net for United on September 15 against Watford. After benching Lukaku for the visit of Everton last Sunday, Jose Mourinho explained that he is trying to relieve the pressure that has been building on the forward following criticism of his performances. “The reason (for his omission) is he is playing lots of matches and lately, not just not scoring goals, but also not showing lots of confidence," said Mourinho. Fred also keeps his place after making his first Premier League start since September 22 in the victory over Everton.
