Roberto Firmino has agreed terms with Liverpool on a new five year contract. The Brazilian has committed to staying at Anfield after an incredible season.
The forward told liverpoolfc.com: "It was an easy decision.
“The club have taken me in in an incredible way and I’ve grown a lot here with my work with the support of the whole team. I am very, very happy here.
“Everything fits in the best possible way. My teammates are fantastic and I am very grateful to be able to play with them at this club.
“I love to play for Liverpool FC. The fans are excellent and fantastic in how they support us all the way. They support us throughout the games and the work they do during the match is beautiful.”
Firmino has scored 27 goals in all competitions this season, and played a key role in Jürgen Klopp's high-pressing system that has allowed the likes of Mohamed Salah to flourish.
The Telegraph reports that the deal is worth in the region of £180,000-a-week
His unique combination of selfless runs, creative passing and goalscoring ability make him the perfect striker for this Liverpool side, and fans will be delighted that he has extended his contract.
He did so in style, too, with his trademark 'no look' technique.
