Robbie Keane and Cristiano Ronaldo in the same team? It’s possible.

As more and more superstars take the plunge into seeing their careers out in MLS, the bigger names are inevitably going to be linked with moves to top North American clubs.

Names don’t come much bigger than Cristiano Ronaldo and the Real Madrid ace has been linked with LA Galaxy ever since he entered his 30s.

While he’s likely got several years at the top level left in him; who’s to say that the money, sun and showbusiness feel of Los Angeles wouldn’t tempt him away from Madrid.

Robbie Keane, Republic of Ireland captain and four-time LA Galaxy MVP, believes the Galaxy would be a perfect fit for the Portuguese.

“I think it’s probably a natural progression for him,” Keane said when asked by TMZ about the possibility of Ronaldo moving to LA Galaxy.

“There’s been a lot of talk about it obviously. Hopefully not for another couple of years. I’ve still got a couple of years left in me to play!

“I will be still playing hopefully. It’d be great if we could play together.”

Keane did not get carried away with the transfer talk due to the fact that Galaxy have been linked with anyone and everyone but he believes the extra attention Ronaldo would bring to the burgeoning league would be positive for all involved.

He added: “LA Galaxy, we get linked to so many players because we’re a massive club and people want to come to LA so we’ve been linked to so many top, top players.

“It’d be great for the league certainly if he came.”
