Joyous rival fans label Mourinho a ‘fraud’ after Dortmund thrashing

Manchester United may be one of the most popular clubs in the world, but they are also one of the most despised. Such is the scale of the hatred from fans of all number of clubs that there is even a term for them - ABUs (Anyone but United). It has been a glorious period for ABUs since Sir Alex Ferguson retired, with the once great Red Devils struggling to live up to their glorious past. Certainly David Moyes and then Louis van Gaal have provided more than their fair share of punchlines. United fans had hoped that that would change under Jose Mourinho. There's no denying that the club have enjoyed an impressive transfer window so far and look a far more dangerous outfit, stringing together some forward passes in a recent 2-0 victory against Wigan already in pre-season. But it seems even a defeat in pre-season is enough to reignite the mockery. Mourinho's men were thrashed 4-1 by a slick-looking Borussia Dortmund in a friendly in China, with the manager blaming the fact that United are behind the German side in terms of fitness and training.
