Rio Ferdinand’s “Home Nations” Euro 2016 XI doesn’t feature some notable teammates

Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney are good friends.

Jonny Evans, his former defensive partner at Old Trafford, also didn't make the cut. Ferdinand is working as a pundit for the BBC at Euro 2016, and while on his travels decided to pick an XI from the "Home nations" - England, Wales and Northern Ireland. No player from Michael O'Neill's side features in the team dominated by England players, and also includes the Welsh trio of Ashley Williams, Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale.
