Richarlison has charmed Everton fans already

Richarlison’s arrival at Everton this summer received a lot of criticism due to the £40m fee the club coughed up to bring the Brazilian to Goodion Park. But if his debut is anything to go by, he will be worth every penny.

Even if his goalscoring dries up, his popularity among fans is already sky high, especially after his most recent act of generosity.

During the celebrations after one of Richarlison’s goals at the weekend, when Everton drew 2-2 with Hull City, one unlucky Toffees fan dislocated his elbow in the midst of chaotic limbs.

The fan, Neil Harrison, tweeted while on his way to hospital, ‘look at what you’ve done to me’ and tagged his new hero in the tweet.

The tweet got so much traction that Everton picked up on the story and arranged for the fan to come to the training ground and meet Richarlison, who signed his cast and took photos, with the fan.

Richarlison’s English is limited, but he was able to make the universal gesture for ‘fucking hell, mate’ when shown a picture of the dislocated elbow.

Richarlison has already begun to justify his £40m fee with a brace on his debut and will be confident of flourishing under Marco Silva, the man who brought him to the Premier League when he joined Watford last summer.
