REVEALED: Memphis Depay held nothing back with training ground comments to RVP

That whole 'respect your elders' adage doesn't apply to footballers, apparently.

We all remember the training ground bust-up that Memphis Depay had with Robin van Persie in October, right? Well new details have emerged from the spat that took place during the Netherlands squad's preparation for their Euro 2016 qualifier with Kazakhstan. The back-and-forth between the pair resulted in one of the most devastating comebacks we've ever heard and it's very much Depay 1 RvP 0, if true. Dutch magazine Voetbal International outline what happened, after Depay attempted a backheel pass to Jairo Riedewald rather than playing an unmarked Van Persie through on goal "Do you think you're a big boy?" Van Persie is reported to have asked Depay, angrily. "Do big boys play at Fenerbahce then?" came the reply from a sharp-tongued Depay.
