Sky Sport News in Germany claim that Borussia Dortmund's Ilkay Gündogan will sign a contract with Manchester United this weekend...

The 24-year-old midfielder's current contract expires in June 2016 and there had been reports that Dortmund had issued the player an ultimatum - sign a new deal or leave. https://twitter.com/SkySportNewsHD/status/591680101718294529 Now German Sky Sports are reporting that Gundogan's departure is so advanced that a contract may be signed as early as this weekend. The German International was widely perceived as one of the world's most exciting midfield talents before suffering a serious and career-threatening spinal injury. But he has returned to action in recent months after a prolonged lay-off and looks to have played himself into something like the form that impressed so many prior to his back problems.
