Raphinha is wanted by Barcelona and Chelsea

Leeds United winger Raphinha has given Barcelona a 48-hour deadline to agree a deal for the Brazilian as he leaves the door open for Chelsea to swoop in.

The Blues have reportedly agreed a £60m deal with Leeds but it is believed that Raphinha would prefer a move to the Catalan giants.

However negotiations have stalled as Barca would prefer to pay in instalments and the winger’s agent, former Barca and Chelsea midfielder Deco, has given the La Liga side 48 hours to sort a deal out or they will begin talks with Thomas Tuchel’s side, as per GOAL.

Leeds boss wants quick ‘solution’ to Raphinha transfer saga

Raphinha has already asked Leeds to leave him out of their upcoming pre-season tour of Australia so that his future can be resolved.

Leeds boss Jesse Marsch says that they are looking to find a solution to the Brazilian’s future as quickly as possible. He said: “There’s urgency from his end, I think, to come up with a solution.

“We have to in the next couple of days see how things stand and see how we go. It hasn’t been an easy time for him this summer.

“Things have come and gone and there have been a lot of little discussions. Right now he’s our player.”

Barcelona are in financial disarray and have mass amounts of debt piling up. The club are trying to offload some of their highest earners at the Camp Nou as well as cost cut elsewhere, recently selling 10 per cent of their television rights deal.

Their problems off the pitch have also prevented them from registering their two most recent signings, Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie, who joined from Chelsea and AC Milan respectively.
