Pro Evolution Soccer have announced that Rangers will be an official partner club of the game for PES 2019. The Glasgow club will feature on the club with full licensing, and their Ibrox stadium will be available on the game via a data pack which will be downloadable after launch.

The news comes a day after it was announced that Rangers’ arch rivals Celtic would be one of the game’s partner clubs.

Game developers KONAMI have teamed up with the Scottish Premiership to ensure that all twelve teams in the top flight will be fully licensed on the game.

Rangers Managing Director Stewart Robertson said: “We are delighted to have entered in to this new partnership with KONAMI and are excited to see the club and the players perfectly represented within PES 2019.”

Steven Gerrard took his first managerial job this summer when he took over from Jimmy Nicholl, who was interim manager after Graeme Murty departed.

So far, Gerrard has successfuly gone through one round of Europa League qualifying and takes a one goal lead into the second leg of their tie against Osijek in the second qualifying round.

Rangers fans will be hoping that Gerrard continues this form in the upcoming league campaign and that they can replicate it on the new PES 2019 game, due for release on August 28th.
