Rangers player deletes ill-advised throwback tweet to Celtic’s 5-1 Old Firm win

Rangers fans did not like this.

Rangers fans would rather forget that day, while Celtic fans will never forget it. Either will Rangers midfielder Windass, who took the opportunity on Thursday to post a throwback tweet and Instagram post to mark what was his first appearance for the club.

"My first ever game for Rangers. Yes we lost but that's why I posted. Proudest day of my career. That was the reason for the throwback," the 23-year-old wrote.

Windass is right to be proud about making his debut for the club in such a big game. Brendan Rodgers' side are currently 33 points ahead of Rangers. Seriously, 33 points. If Rangers win the game, Celtic will win the league by 30 points. But if Windass scores the winner, all will be forgiven for the Rangers fans.
